ABOUT ME

I am here to empower you to Nourish Your Body and Soul and create sustainable habits.

Hi! I’m Lola, I’m a dedicated Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorders and intuitive eating. Raised in an Egyptian household, I developed a deep appreciation for the power of food and its ability to nourish both body and soul. My passion for nutrition led me to pursue a double major in Nutritional Sciences and Microcell Biology at the University of Connecticut, combining my love of food with scientific expertise. Continuously seeking to expand my knowledge, I furthered my training in functional nutrition to better serve my clients. This includes services that delve into the root causes of nutritional concerns to develop optimal, personalized plans.

With a special focus on empowering individuals struggling with eating disorders, I guide my clients towards establishing more joyful and meaningful relationships with food. I firmly believe that food is the best form of preventative medicine and should always be enjoyed in a way that nourishes both the body and the spirit. I offer both telehealth and in-person visits.

MY STORY

I was raised in an Egyptian household, enjoying diverse foods from various cultures. In my teen years, I struggled with body dysmorphia and restrictive eating, which made it difficult to enjoy food as I once did. Working with a Registered Dietitian changed my view on nutrition, teaching me about intuitive eating and providing tools to heal my relationship with food. Discovering the gym and combining regular exercise with healthy eating habits transformed my life. This experience fueled my passion for helping others achieve similar transformations.

My philosophy embraces a holistic approach to nutrition, considering the mind, body, and soul to create meaningful and sustainable changes in eating patterns and behaviors.

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Lola's Journey into the field of Nutrition

My professional training began at the University of Connecticut, where I completed the Coordinated Dietetics Program in May 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and completing 1,200 hours of supervised practice under experienced Registered Dietitians in various fields of nutrition. I passed the registration exam to become a Registered Dietitian in August 2021. Additionally, I hold a Certificate of Training in Functional Nutrition and NASM-CPT. Since then, I have worked in hospitals, nursing homes, and inpatient eating disorder units.

I look forward to working with you on the journey to becoming your healthiest self!
