As a Black Male Therapist, my mission is to end the stigma and increase the awareness that mental health treatment helps individuals reduce stress and creates healthier ways to cope.
As a Black male growing up in Columbus Georgia, I experienced firsthand how close friends and family suffered in silence while dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. In our African American community, most people are hesitant to go to therapy due to the fear of being labeled as “crazy” or “weak.” Men tend to also associate mental health treatment as a form of weakness or hold the belief that going to therapy means that they have to admit that something is wrong and they need fixing.
However, I have always felt that everyone should have a safe place to express their thoughts and feelings without judgement, no matter how big or small the issues are.
When you work towards healing, you become a better version of yourself, the relationships in your life become better. You become a better man, son, father, colleague, and spouse
I know personally, how counseling has helped me to become a better husband, father, and community leader. It has helped me to deal with life transitions, effectively communicate, and reach new levels of success in my career.

My professional training began as an undergraduate Psychology major at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia, where I earned a Band scholarship. I later attended Columbia University in New York City, where I earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I also hold a certification as a Human Service Practitioner and have over 20 years of experience working in the Mental Health Field. I have advance training in Substance Abuse Treatment, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy, which aid in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
I am also an actor in New York City. I have been featured in the Amazon films “Somnium” and “6 Tales of Sin” directed by Joe Cinemera and the television series “For Life” on ABC being executive produced by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. I am currently filming for the upcoming films “Mi Familia 2″ and “Boss, Kings, and Queens” scheduled for release in 2021.
My approach is solution focused, compassionate, and direct. I offer personalized treatment that promotes healing and personal growth.
As a mental health therapist, I have worked with a diverse population from children to adolescents dealing with behavioral issues, incarcerated adults released from Rikers Island Correctional Facility, individuals recovering from substance abuse, and couples experiencing relationship challenges. This has led to my ability to specialize in relationship issues, cultural issues, substance abuse, stress management, and trauma recovery.
